SUSTAIN Productive landscapes for inclusive growth in Tanzania and Mozambique (SUSTAIN Pro) is a 10-year initiative with an operational plan for the four years from 2022 to 2025 aimed at supporting sustainable food systems and healthy productive landscapes in Tanzania and Mozambique.  SUSTAIN Pro is funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).

 

IUCN plays a key role as a strategic leader by:  

 

  • Convening multi-stakeholder partnerships to support integrated landscape management.
     
  • Scaling nature-based solutions and climate-smart agriculture.
      
  • Strengthening land governance and tenure, with a focus on gender and youth inclusion. Providing scientific tools and evidence (such as the Land Health Monitoring Index, value chain development) to guide policy and practice.

SUSTAIN PRO is striving to accelerate a shift from business-as-usual to development paradigms that build resilience in economies, people and nature.
